Charter Financial Group is an independent personal financial advising firm which works directly with clients towards their financial goals. Our firm, in South Florida since 1997, specializes in estate planning, asset preservation, and retirement planning through the use of various investment vehicles including: annuities, REITs, mutual funds, life insurance, and other types of investments.
Charter Financial Group was started by Lawrence Catallo, a financial industry veteran since 1978. Lawrence is a Certified Funds Specialist. Additionally, in 1997, Lawrence became a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an industry standard of recognition for customer service and production. In 2001, he was awarded the Top of the Table for excellence.
Harlan Wenig joined the firm in 2003. A University of Florida graduate, Harlan took additional schooling to achieve Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. A Florida resident of 30 years, he is a member of the Parkland Business Association and is on the regional board of directors for The Hero Initiative.
